The Bonita Springs City Council is pleased to receive applications for consideration to fill vacancies on the following advisory boards:
Local Planning Agency – There is one vacancy for a term set to expire December 31, 2025. The role of the Local Planning Agency (LPA) is to review rezoning and comprehensive plan amendments. The LPA is responsible for making recommendations to the City Council regarding development of, or changes to, the City's Comprehensive Plan and the Land Development Code.
Tree Advisory Board – There are three vacancies for terms set to expire December 31, 2024. The Tree Advisory Board (TAB) recognizes the importance of trees to our community and in our lives. The TAB reviews land development and zoning sites prior to redevelopment to ensure heritage trees are protected and preserved. The TAB is committed to ensuring the City retains its designation as a Tree City USA.
The City of Bonita Springs is thankful for the time and expertise of the residents who volunteer to serve on advisory boards and committees. Members are expected to attend meetings regularly, contribute to group discussions, and conduct independent research as needed. All meetings are open to the public.
