The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (FDEO) notified the City on Friday, August 9, 2019 that they would be extending the original grant submittal deadline for the Voluntary Buyout Program from August 15 to October 1. The City of Bonita Springs Offers a Variety of Parks and Recreation Opportunities

The City of Bonita Springs Outreach Committee will be hosting a School Supply Drive during the month of July 2019!

The City of Bonita Springs is hosting our annual 4th of July Celebration with a party at Riverside Park beginning at 5PM and Fireworks/Laser Show to end the night!

Logan Boulevard will connect Lee and Collier counties north and south, east of I-75 at Bonita Beach Road. The estimated completion date is February 2020.

The Bonita Springs Recreation Center will open its doors to host the YMCA’s youth summer camp, beginning on June 3, 2019 until August 9, 2019 (no camp on July 4th). The YMCA will offer Camp Sky and All Sports Camp for children ages 5 to 12.

All Bonita Springs city facilities will be closed in observance of Memorial Day May 27th, 2019. Lee County Solid Waste facilities and offices are closed Monday, May 27, due to the holiday. All garbage, recycling and yard waste collection will take place one day after the regularly scheduled collection day for the entire week, beginning Monday, May 27, 2019.

The City of Bonita Springs, Bonita Springs Fire Control and Rescue District, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the Veterans Advisory Committee invite the public to attend a Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 27th, 2019. The service will begin at 9:00 a.m., held at Riverside Park, located at 10450 Reynolds Street in downtown Bonita Springs.

The ordinance states “sea turtle nesting habitat not be directly, indirectly or cumulatively illuminated by artificial lighting during the nesting season”. All beach equipment and furniture must be removed from the beach between the hours of 9:00 pm and 7:00 am.
