The Neighborhood Services Department name now more accurately reflects ALL of the functions of the Department. Neighborhood Services remains responsible for the enforcement of the City’s Ordinances, adopted Land Development Code, provisions of the Florida Building Code, and all other issues directed by the City Manager. Enforced with compassion, reasonableness and a dedication to professional service but also includes developing relationships with citywide assistance programs. Building teams within neighborhoods to solve problems on a local level, developing outreach programs to promote the objective of education.  Provide oversight with contracted city services including Animal Services, Solid Waste, County DOT and Parks and Rec, and Sheriff, be a liaison for our community and all government services.  Neighborhood Services also serves as the primary emergency management resource for city personnel.  ALL of these are designed to protect the Health, Safety, and Welfare of all who live, work or visit our City.  They also ensure a positive effect on property value, community appearance, and neighborhood pride.  We report directly to the City Manager and handle many other responsibilities that involve the City’s welfare as directed.
