City of Bonita Springs Bond Referendum: Tuesday, August 18, 2026 - Primary Election
On April 15, 2026, the City of Bonita Springs City Council adopted Ordinance 26-05, which orders and calls for a Bond Referendum of the City's qualified electors, to be held at the same time and places as the primary election on August 18, 2026, coordinated by the Lee County Supervisor of Elections.

Tuesday, November 3, 2026, concurrently with the Lee County General Election, for the election of the following City Council District representatives:
- Council Member – District 1
- Council Member – District 3
- Council Member – District 5

Nonpartisan City Elections: City of Bonita Springs Municipal Elections are conducted on a nonpartisan basis. Candidate names appear on the ballot without political party affiliation.
Term of Office: The term of office for elected City officials is four (4) years.
Code of Conduct: In accordance with Resolution 10-057, City Council Members follow a Code of Conduct that promotes civility and decorum in discussions and debate, and a commitment to integrity and public service in support of the best interests of the City of Bonita Springs.
