Council has approved an Interlocal Agreement for transit service that will allow the traditional North/South Bus Route 600 to operate within the City of Bonita Springs and provide inter-connectivity with Collier County. The new agreement will also incorporate a new type of on-demand, curb to curb transit service within Bonita Springs, known as ULTRA. The new service utilizes the UBER scheduling and tracking platform and will allow riders to pre-book rides within ¾ mile of the existing route 150. This will be a first for Lee County Transit and will provide residents with an increased level of transit service.
