In 2022, the City of Bonita Springs will hold its Regular Election in conjunction with federal, state, and county elections in the General Election. The City of Bonita Springs holds a single election. A run-off election is held if there is a tie.

Candidates for City Council – Election Assessment
Each person seeking to qualify for election to a municipal office shall pay, at the time of qualifying, an election assessment equal to one percent (1%) of the annual salary of the office sought. Candidates for City Council will be assessed One Hundred Sixty-Nine Dollars and Forty-Seven Cents ($187.38). (Annual Salary: $18,737.76 per F.S. §99.093 (1} and §99.061 (2} and City Charter, Section 13).
Check for filing and qualifying fees must be drawn on the candidate’s campaign checking account and made payable to the City of Bonita Springs.
